Insightful, supportive coaching to help you meet your speaking goals
Hello, Doctor!
The media may approach you for an interview on a medical study.
Here is a question to ask yourself as you prepare to communicate information about the study:
Can I elaborate on the key facts of the study?
Then ask yourself:
Can I discuss the study’s purpose, design, methods, data collection, and analysis?
Were objective health measurements used to verify self-reports?
Was the study in animals or humans? Can I address the limitations of the animal model? Can I address applicability to humans?
Have I acknowledged the study’s limitations or shortcomings?
In the next post in this series, I’ll go over some general guidelines about clarifying risks and benefits. Stay tuned!
